More than 1,100 workers participate in the "Building Tet 2026" program
On January 29, Nhan Dan Newspaper coordinated to organize the program "Building Tet 2026" for more than 1,100 construction workers in Hanoi.
On the morning of January 29, Nhan Dan Newspaper coordinated with Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company to organize the "Building Tet 2026" program for construction workers working at two projects including the Pearl Theater Project and the Specialized Cultural and Art Park; The Project to Renovate, upgrade and build a new Ho Tay Guest House Area, with the participation of more than 1,100 workers.
Accompanying the workers were Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President - Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF); Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL)...
The program is part of a series of activities of "Building Tet 2026" with the theme "Thank you to the protector of happiness", organized in the atmosphere of celebrating the success of the 14th National Party Congress and welcoming the Binh Ngo Spring 2026.
The program aims to spread the beauty of labor, showing practical concern for the workers directly at the construction site, who day and night contribute to building projects, creating urban appearance and developing the country's infrastructure; and at the same time bringing a warm, safe and happy spring to workers.
The activity also contributes to concretizing Directive No. 55-CT/TW dated December 22, 2025 of the Secretariat on organizing the Binh Ngo Tet in 2026 and Resolution No. 366/NQ-CP dated November 12, 2025 of the Government on deploying the preparation and care for people's lives during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.

At the program, workers were given Tet gifts and participated in many practical free care activities such as: haircuts, souvenir photos, health check-ups; and directly participated in labor safety culture propaganda activities including experiential games contributing to raising awareness of risk prevention such as safety at height, fire and explosion prevention, electrical safety and safety in machinery and equipment operation.

These are also activities that have been organized at the 2026 Tet Building program in many localities such as: Ho Chi Minh City, An Giang... contributing to spreading the humanistic message of the program.

Speaking about the meaning of the program, Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association - said: "In the atmosphere of Tet coming and Spring returning, especially to celebrate the success of the 14th National Party Congress, with the role of a key press agency, Nhan Dan Newspaper always focuses on implementing deeply humane social activities to spread good values and encourage the spirit of responsibility for the community.
The "Building Tet 2026" program is a continuation of that effort, contributing to practical care for workers in the construction industry and heavy labor fields, thereby encouraging workers to feel secure in their profession, actively contributing to the cause of building and developing the country in the era of national rise, bringing a safe, warm and complete Binh Ngo spring 2026.

At the program, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh respectfully appreciated and acknowledged the humane initiative of Nhan Dan Newspaper and Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company in maintaining and developing the "Building Tet" Program for many years. This is a very practical model of caring for workers, not only bringing Tet closer to workers, but also strongly spreading the spirit of sharing, gratitude and social responsibility.
The special program is of practical significance to celebrate the success of Party Congresses at all levels, especially the 14th National Party Congress, in order to show the concern of the Party, State, Trade Union organizations and the business community for the working class - the core force in the cause of national construction and development. This is also the fourth year the "Building Tet" Program has been implemented nationwide, with increasingly expanding scale and increasingly methodical and effective ways of doing things.
This year's theme - "Thank you to the protector of happiness" - is a profound message. Because the happiness of each family, each community and society is built from the safety, persistence and dedication of workers throughout 365 working days. A complete Tet is only truly meaningful when it is "built" from safe, healthy and peaceful working days" - Vice Chairman Phan Van Anh assessed.
Along with that, leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour especially appreciated the fact that the "Building Tet" Program 2026 is organized right at the construction site, linking Tet care with labor safety culture, health care, safety commitment activities and practical benefits for workers. This clearly shows the viewpoint: Safety is the foundation of happiness, is a prerequisite for workers to feel secure in working and returning to their families.
From the practical activities of trade unions, we hope that good models such as "Building Tet" will continue to be expanded and replicated, not only in the construction industry but also spreading to many other fields; linking Tet care with long-term policies on occupational safety and health, occupational health and welfare for workers. The VGCL is committed to continuing to accompany and closely coordinate with Nhan Dan Newspaper, Coteccons and partners in caring for the material, spiritual and safety of workers nationwide" - Mr. Phan Van Anh said.

It is known that this is the fourth year the "Building Tet" program has been implemented nationwide. This year, the "Building Tet" program will organize for more than 33,000 workers, including construction workers at 73 construction sites nationwide and expand to environmental sanitation workers and urban drainage workers in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang City and Hanoi capital.
As a companion unit organizing the program, Ms. Nguyen Trinh Thuy Trang - Deputy General Director of Coteccons - shared: "Building Tet has become a true festival for workers, where workers are cared for, listened to and given worthy thanks. For Coteccons, the safety of workers is the highest priority and the foundation of happiness. Each worker not only contributes to building a project, but also directly participates in the process of creating a cultural space, serving urban development and socio-political tasks of the Capital. Through Building Tet 2026, we want to continue to strongly spread safety culture on the construction site, so that each worker can feel secure in working today and return to peace with their families.
